QNUK Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness

This half-day, recognised qualification, taught in person or during an online lesson, gives learners an introduction to understanding their own mental wellbeing. The qualification covers the most common mental health conditions, their contributing factors and how to look after their own mental health.  It is ideal for anyone interested in mental health.

 

QNUK Level 2 Award in Mental Health at Work

This one-day,  recognised qualification, taught in person or during online lessons, is the ideal introduction to understanding mental health in the workplace. The qualification covers the most common mental health conditions, how to identify potential mental health concerns in colleagues and then how to discuss their needs and assist them to access suitable services and support.  The course is designed to train first aiders for mental health in the workplace.

QNUK Level 2 Award in Awareness of Young People’s Mental Health

This one-day,  recognised qualification, taught in person or during online lessons, is the ideal introduction to understanding young people's mental health. The qualification covers the most common mental health conditions that affect young people, their contributing factors and how to they can look after their mental health. The course is ideal for young people and those that support young people such as teaching staff and youth workers.

QNUK Level 3 Award in Mental Health at Work

This two-day, recognised qualification, taught in person or during online lessons, is the ideal qualification for mental health ambassadors in the workplace. With a responsibility to protect the health of employees at work, having mental health ambassadors highlights the organisations commitment to promoting positive mental health awareness. The qualification covers a range of mental health conditions; some, more common than others, how to identify potential mental health concerns in colleagues and then how to discuss their needs and assist them to access suitable services and support.  The course is ideal for those people responsible for managing mental health within a workplace, as well as carry out the role of a first aider for mental health.

TRAIN THE TRAINER COURSES

QNUK Level 3 Award for Mental Health Trainers

This three-day, recognised qualification, taught in person or during online lessons, is for anyone looking to be able to deliver Mental Health Awareness training, including  'First Aid' for mental health  

 

The course requires learners to carry out some pre course study and should be undertaken by people with training background. 

 

Learners wishing to use this qualification to deliver regulated mental health qualifications, must hold a suitable teaching/training qualification.

ADVANCED MENTAL HEALTH: TRAIN THE TRAINER PROGRAMME

This blended learning course is designed to give learners an extensive and in depth knowledge of work place mental health, as well as mental health as a wider subject.  Following this theoretical grounding, learners will go on to develop the skills to deliver mental health training, including mental health ‘First Aid’.  Learners will also develop the skills to carry out workplace mental health audits, and write workplace mental health policies. 

 

Learners will complete the L3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health online via distance learning, followed by attending a four day Level 3 Award for Mental Health Trainers course, either face to face, or online via Microsoft Teams.  In addition to the two qualifications above, learners will receive a Vortex Training Solutions ‘Advanced Mental Health Train the Trainer’ certificate.

There are several options for Companies to collaborate on the design of the specifics within the Course – developing additional focus areas as need in order to meet distinct industry requirements.

FIRST AID EFR & CFR COURSES

QNUK Level 2 Award in Basic Life support (Adults and Children) (RQF)  

This qualification is for those that are interested in, or are required to attend annual training in basic life support. While some candidates may be interested in undertaking this qualification for personal development, those working in a GP or dentist surgery may attend to meet industry requirements. This qualification includes the use of a AED.

QNUK Level 2 Award in Essential First Aid (RQF)

This inclusive first aid qualification is for those that are interested in knowing more about first aid but may find the practical elements of traditional first aid courses difficult. This could be due to physical disabilities, mental health conditions or simply physical strength.

QNUK Level 3 Award in Activity First aid (RQF)   

This qualification is for those requiring a first aid qualification to support their role as a sports coach or instructor. The qualification builds on the Emergency first aid at work qualification, to include core common injuries found in sorting activities.

QNUK Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)        

The QNUK Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is ideal for those employers that need to meet the minimum requirement of first aid regulations; typically those working in shops, offices and other low risk environments.

QNUK Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF)    

This qualification is aimed at those working in an early years setting who require a first aid qualification for emergency paediatric first aid.

The QNUK Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First aid (RQF) meets the requirements for those working in an early years setting, however, the setting should ensure that they also have suitable numbers of staff with a '2 day' qualification such as the QNUK Level 3 Award in Paediatric First aid (RQF)

QNUK Level 3 Award in First aid (Annual Refresher) (RQF)    

This qualification is for those that hold a current First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work qualification, who are in need of an annual refresher.   

          

QNUK Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF)    

 The QNUK Level 3 Award in Paediatric First aid (RQF) is seen as the most common qualification for early years practitioners and is delivered over 2 days. 

QNUK Level 3 Award in Responding to Anaphylactic Reactions (RQF)       

This qualification is for those that require additional training in basic life support and management of anaphylaxis. Many attendees are those working in environments that support children that may be at risk of severe allergic reactions, for example those working in nurseries and other early years settings.

The qualification has also been designed as the perfect add-on to standard first aid courses such as the QNUK Level 3 Award in Paediatric First aid (RQF).

QNUK Level 3 Award in Responding to Incidents with an AED (RQF)

This qualification is for those that require additional training in basic life support and safe use of an AED. Many attendees are those working in environments that have  an AED available, such as Gyms and public places such as shopping centres, transport hubs etc. The qualification can also be used by staff working in Doctors and Dentists practice as part of annual training.

The qualification has also been designed as the perfect add-on to standard first aid courses.

PHECC First Aid Responder (FAR) Course

This Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) certified course has replaced the QQI/FETAC certified ‘Occupational First Aid’ course. It is recognised by the Health and Safety Authority as the required training for equipping workplace first aiders to deal with the most common medical emergencies.
